Mabank ISD Alumni Association is currently in the process of applying for recognition as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If approved, tax-exempt status is expected to be retroactive to the organization’s date of formation, subject to IRS rules and approval. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of contributions made while the application is pending.
