Provo High Class of 1973 Scholarship
At our 2023 reunion we were able to award two $5,000 scholarships. That evening we had an
opportunity to change two young students’ futures. It was an amazing night as we
acknowledged Provo High Senior recipients, Kayta Grow and Ayanne Noble . Ayanne Noble
also bravely stepped up in front of our reunion audience to sing an original song she had
written.
After our reunion dinner we had many classmates approach us who either did not have a
chance to donate or wanted to be involved again in 2024 to provide an additional scholarship
at Provo High. We are excited to again have the class of 1973 work together on an opportunity
to change a young student’s life at Provo High. We are asking you to help us raise $5,000 for a
scholarship to be awarded in the Spring of 2024.
Our class was an amazing group of people. As a group can we take the opportunity to again
do amazing things together?
Many of us benefited and prospered greatly from the years we spent at Provo High School.
Here is an opportunity to say thank you to our School and to provide an opportunity for one
of the current students at Provo High to further their education after graduation. Provo has
the highest percentage of low-income students in Utah Valley. We can help.
We would like to challenge our class to raise enough funds to provide a $5000 scholarship to a deserving Provo High Senior. We want to do this in a unique way. We are looking for a student that may not be on the usual radar for a scholarship. We have worked with Provo High to come up with a format to do something special. The sophomores and juniors at Provo High will be given the opportunity to nominate a senior student that they feel influenced them in a positive way. A student that they feel reflected and inspired others by living the School goals of Inclusion, Excellence and Integrity. Someone that has a need for help and a desire to continue their education.
The faculty will choose 10 students from the nominations. Those 10 students will be asked if
they would like to apply for the Class of 73 Scholarship. The Provo High Staff and members of
the Class of 73 Reunion committee will review the applications and choose the Student to
receive the Scholarship. The Student who is chosen will also be evaluated for other possible
outside matching funds that might be available. This might provide us with the opportunity
to provide Scholarships for more than one student.
The Student or Students will receive their Scholarship award in a Spring Assembly. We will
keep you all updated on the results.
All donations to this Scholarship will be tax deductible and remain anonymous. The Provo
School district will receive the donations by way of “Success Fund” and send you a receipt for
your donation. The School will keep all donation records private.
Donations can also be sent directly to:

Please consider helping us again by donating so that we can provide an opportunity to
change someone’s future.
Sincerely,
Class of 73
