2026 Middle School Summer School

Per our district board policy it is required that students in 6th, 7th or 8th grade who fail any one of the following categories must successfully complete summer school in order to be promoted to the next grade:
Final average below a 70 in Reading/Language Arts
Final average below a 70 in Math
Final average below 70 in Science and Social Studies
Students required to attend summer school are responsible for completing all four core subjects and meet the attendance requirements with no more than two absences throughout the program. Three tardies and/or leaving early, counts as one of the two allowable absences. If a student exceeds the two day allotment, their continuation in the summer school program will be the decision of their home campus principal.
Summer School will be held at Groves Middle School, 5201 Wilson, Groves, Texas. Classes are Monday -Thursday, June 1st - 25th from 8:00 a.m - 11:30 am.
Transportation will be provided from Port Neches Middle School to Groves Middle School daily.
