BALTO Week Store 2025

BALTO (Bring A Light To Others) week is Edmond North High School’s annual philanthropy week. Since 1995, BALTO has raised over 6 million dollars for charities serving all kinds of needs. We have helped charities serving child cancer victims, brain tumor patients, special education students, premature babies, and many other worthy causes. BALTO strives to bring the students of Edmond North together with the community of Edmond and beyond to do some amazing work! Through activities such as the BALTO 5K, BALTO silent auction, school assemblies, t-shirt sales, and other efforts, BALTO strives to raise money each year for a worthy cause.

Last year, BALTO raised $251,441 for Make-A-Wish Oklahoma and City Care.

This year, the student council has chosen the HALO Project. You can learn more about this great 501(c)3 nonprofit organization here: https://haloprojectokc.com/about/. But if you want the gist, “HALO Project provides a variety of programs designed to meet the unique and diverse needs of children and teens in foster care, children and teens who have been adopted, children, teens and families impacted by traumatic occurrences, survivors of domestic abuse and childhood trauma. In addition, HALO provides programs for individuals who desire positive self-worth and programs for those who desire to have a stronger connection with their children.”

Each year Edmond North sets our city rivalries aside to donate 5% of our total funds raised to a “common thread.” This year, the common cause is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called No Boundaries International. You can learn more about them here: https://www.nbint.org/learn-about-us.  Despite their name, they serve the OKC metro area “actively fighting the trauma of human trafficking and sexual exploitation with its many effects on individuals, families, and our community. Whether it is the prostituted woman, the at-risk child, the homeless individual, or those struggling with addiction and brokenness, No Boundaries seeks to reach out on a street level and provide realistic solutions to those in need.”
