Maize High School Choir

Rather than using shared dresses, each student will have her own personally fitted dress to wear throughout the school year. These dresses are designed to last for several years with proper care, giving students a high-quality concert dress of their own rather than sharing one from year to year.

Our seamstress will professionally measure each student during the first week of school to ensure the best possible fit. We will place the order shortly after measurements are completed. Production and delivery take approximately five weeks, giving us time to complete any necessary alterations before our first concert in October. The school will cover the cost of any necessary alterations.

I understand this is a significant investment and wanted to communicate the cost early so families have time to plan. If making the payment by the due date presents a challenge, please reach out to me. I am happy to work with families on a payment arrangement when needed.

About the Dresses

This year's dresses are available in red and black. Students will draw for their dress color during class. After the drawing, students will have five minutes to trade colors with classmates if they prefer a different color.

Each student will own her dress and may use it throughout her time in choir. When a student graduates or no longer needs her dress, she will have the opportunity to sell it to an incoming choir student, helping recoup a portion of the original cost.

Students will continue to wear their tan character shoes, so there is no change to our concert shoe requirement.
