Advance/Junior High

Who: Wrestlers in Junior High or have wrestled before and are looking to compete at weekend tournaments and super state or by coach invite to this group. Please contact a coach if you are unsure if your wrestler should be in this group.

Dates: Practice will begin on November 04th. This group will practice on Mondays 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM and Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7:30 -9:00PM. Dates may be subject to change depending on the High School wrestling Schedule. This team will practice from November 6th to February 9th-10th (Super State). Depending on the number of both advanced groups, we may combine groups if needed.

Cost: $100.00 per wrestler and includes a T-Shirt. Each wrestler will be required to purchase a USA-limited Folkstyle Athlete Membership. This cost is $20.00 and provides secondary sports accident insurance for your wrestler. This card can be bought at www.usawmembership.com

The Goal for this Team: We will start preparing the wrestler to transition to more competitive wrestling and high school wrestling. This team’s practices will be run more as a club sport, and advanced techniques will be taught. These practices will be harder than those of the beginner group and will be more focused. The goal of this group is to get the wrestlers to compete in tournaments regularly throughout the season to prepare for Norther State and Super State.
