Sage Elementary School Robotics Teams

We are writing to invite you to be a part of an exciting student experience at Sage Elementary.  We are creating the schools first ever First LEGO League Robotics program by creating two dedicated teams! We need help from community sponsors to grow this engineering opportunity in our school, and community! 

Did you know that the First LEGO Robotics League is not only about Robots?  The robot game challenges kids to build and program robots to complete missions on a special obstacle course. We will also be teaching kids Core Values and Research.  Core Values is the means of obtaining important life skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.  The students also have to complete an innovation project where they will research and create an innovative solution for a defined, real -world problem.  Students will be working with members of our community to gain expertise in engineering and innovation through field trips and guest speakers from our community.  This year, we will be exploring all about the energy that powers our world! 

Your donation will help fund robot brains, expansion packs, laptops, registration, new mission materials, and other supplies needed to participate in FIRST Lego League.  Funds are also needed to help pay for travel expenses as we compete around the state to First LEGO League Qualifiers and competitions in Reno, LasVegas, and Carson City.
